CENTERSTROKE:The Operation "Expand your eyes: Witness "The Operation," a 1995 cult-hit by Jacob Pander and Marne Lucas. It's more than porn, more than erotica -- it's sexy art. As seminal (no pun intended) as the famous cult flick, "Cafe Flesh," it'll get you off in more ways than one. Shot on medical-grade infra-red film, the 13-minute work essentially strokes down to radioactive sex. However, dressed with brilliantly contrasting images and startling effects, it also manages to render a shocking media experience." Hope everyone had a happy X Mas. Updates will be slow in coming this week, as I'm mostly not at work. Stick around though, because more good stuff will be coming your way after the first of the year.... Merry New Years! ps- if you're going to be in Orlando or the surrounding environs this new years eve, you should come out to the Back Booth for their shindig - the Joint Chiefs and Riverbottom Nightmare Band will be kicking out the jams for your entertainment, and the price is a mere $7. Hope to see you there!

NY Daily News - front - Special Report: Schoolbooks flubbing facts "Take the 2003 editions of two social studies textbooks, Glencoe's "Our World Today: People, Places and Issues" and Harcourt's "World Regions." Glencoe wrote of ancient geological events that took place "millions of years ago," like the Ice Age, while Harcourt referred to fossil fuels "formed millions of years ago." Lone Star State creationists complained that the references conflicted with biblical time lines. So the publishers dropped the phrase "millions of years ago" and substituted language like "in the distant past" and "over time." The Big Trouble in Little China Fan Site Alright, so I know this is REALLY lame...But, if you were about 9-11 years old when Big Trouble in Little China came out, you won't be able to keep the smile from surfacing across your face as you listen to the Main Theme. " Run into the mystic the night! " That's right...from the brilliant musical mind of John Carpenter. (from Shift) |
